We needed the break and the change of pace. We relaxed, had a good time, and just kicked back a bit. But, we sorely missed the convenience of having the RV with us. This week, we are back at work, full swing. I have lots of new info to add to the websites. And, I'm starting a boot camp session to help me be a better leader and coach to our Watkins team. Stay tuned as this should be an exciting year ahead. I've seen others doing it and was wondering how to get started in it. ~~ I answered in part: There are two ways you can go about it. One is to work directly with the company that provides the product or service. The other is to work through a marketing agency. In some cases, you are expected to attend specific events, such as trade shows or fairs. They may want you to hand out samples and visit with people about the product or service you are promoting. ~~ Read the longer version of my answer -- and add your comments -- on the website. = = = = = Ways RVers Make Money Here's a sampling of work RVers can do to cut their expenses, earn a living, and pay for their travels. ~ Teach dog obedience classes

It all started in 1938, a society for boat racing and water recreation. We are a rustic boat club with a lodge, located in the southeastern Idaho mountains. We are near Palisades, ID. We are looking for a caretaker couple for the 2010 summer season. Compensation includes pay, RV site, reimbursement for propane, and an end of season bonus. You get many weekends off to explore Jackson Hole, Grand Teton National Park, and Yellowstone Park, all of which are approximately one to one and a half hours drive from the boating club. ~~ Read more about this on the website. If you hire working RVers, tell us about your business. = = = = = Working RVer Tip Campground owners read the same RV forums as work campers. If you are angry with your boss and rant to the group, it may temporarily make you feel better. And, you may not care that your current employer sees it. The damage comes when the other campground owners read it and subsequently avoid your job application like the plague. = = = = = New Favorite Work Camper Employer Nominee GoldBottom Mine Tours and Gold Panning GoldBottom Mines takes you first hand into the Klondike Gold Rush. On the guided tours, you learn about gold mining and about goldfield history. You get to pan for gold and keep (or sell) what you find! by Joan Dale During the summer of 2006 we went to workcamp for David Millar at GoldBottom Mine Tours and Gold Panning in Dawson City. This was a great move for us. The Millar family absorbed us into their family right from day one. I was a tour guide, tour sales person, and cabin keeper. My husband, Victor, was a "Jack of all trades" at the mine site. He ran the mining equipment, kept it running, and did general maintenance. Yes, we were getting an hourly wage. Plus, on many occasions, the family wined and dined us. They included us in all family celebrations. We learned the history of the gold rush days; the history of the road house that is now owned by the Millar family; how to stake a gold claim, etc. ~~ Read more about this on the website -- and add your comments.
