Update from Your RV Workers On Wheels Newsletter Editor

Bob and I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and that you found you had many, many things to be thankful for. We sure did.

Several inches of fresh snow blanketed our winter wonderland the past couple days. Expectedly, Bob's job today is clearing yards. I think he enjoys the reason to use the tractor.

I added a lot of new things to the websites this past week. Find them at Workers On Wheels Work for RVers and Campers Blog and RV Life and Travel Blog.

Wherever you are in your work and travels, we wish you joy and prosperity,

Working RVer Tip

Study the descriptions of campgrounds that you find in campground guides and travel publications. The editorial can tell you a lot about the campground and what the owners think is important. Use that information in your job search and at job interviews.

Your Working While RVing Questions Answered

Hiring Couples is Not the Norm

~~ Linda asks: Is it possible to be a single workkamper? I am contemplating workkamping as a single person and don't seem to see much for one person. Any hints or ideas?

~~ I answered in part: Most employers hire individuals, not couples.

The reason you see mention of couples in some ads is because they are pointing out something that is out of the ordinary. Campgrounds are one of the few places where two people work as a single unit.

~~ Read the longer version of my answer -- and add your comments -- on the website.

Working RVer Tip

One of the main things employers look for in hiring seasonal help is flexibility in scheduling. Your willingness to work holiday weekends or split shifts can make the difference of whether you will be hired or not.

We started this site after corresponding with thousands of RVers, sharing what we’ve learned from our personal experience as full-time RVers, as well as what we've gleaned from employers and managers who hire and work with work campers and other RV workers.

We do hope we've been instrumental in helping you find the right work situation for your RV lifestyle.

We believe there are many advantages to having an RV home based business that we can take on the road with us. We've found a Watkins Summit Group business works for us.

We are also thankful for SBI!, the "do-all-the-techy-stuff-for-you" e-business building platform that made creating this RV resource site possible.
