I've got a busy week ahead. I'm writing this on Sunday afternoon with the radio playing in the background. The DJ catches me off guard when he announces my name and gives our website address. What surprises me most is that the website he's talking about is one I started, but haven't done much with. In fact, I've been thinking about dropping the site completely. Now, all of a sudden, I'm feeling an excitement about working on it again! For the curious, the site is about our life and travels in Alaska. We've also added testimonial pages to the Work-for-RVers-and-Campers.com website. With all these positive comments, yes, I'm going to have a very busy week, indeed. Never in a million years would we have thought that we'd have this impact on your lives. Your letters and emails make us beam with pride – and cry with the sincere sentiment you bestow upon us. We are humbled by what you're saying about Work-For-RVers-And-Campers.com and Workers On Wheels... ~~ Jowyn writes: I was diagnosed with colon cancer in early 2001. I read all you articles, tried to live each one, as I was very much in house. You will never know what those adventures meant to me! I had a very bad 2003 and lost touch. I just found my notebooks where I kept your e-mails. Am ready to start RVing again, currently looking for another 5th wheel, used, hopefully with a pull out. The docs convinced me I would never RV again...like they tell me now, you really wrote a new chapter in our book.... Too much on me, thank you again for being there, it really meant so much for me. I tossed the pain pills and reached for my RVing book with 1-3 years of e-mails. They meant so much to me. Need I say, my case of "Hitch Itch" was almost terminal.... Thank you, Thank you. ~~ Read more of what our readers say on the website. = = = = = Working RVer Tip What Employers Really Want to Know "Why should I hire you?" = = = = = Your Working While RVing Questions Answered Work Camping Single Men ~~ Bill asks: Are there positions out there for work camping single men? Is there a way to filter these listings for easier searching? Most listings seem to be for couples. ~~ I answered in part: To locate the ads that specify "single," you can search the Work Wanted ad pages with your website browser's "Find" feature. Most RVers working in campgrounds are part of a couple. So, campground owners write ads directed at them. As long as the work requirements are met, I doubt campground owners care if it is a single person or a couple doing the work. ~~ Read the longer version of my answer -- and add your comments -- on the website. = = = = = Ways RVers Make Money Here's a sampling of work RVers can do to cut their expenses, earn a living, and pay for their travels. ~ Tourist attraction concession worker

We had the house, the car, the big screen TV...everything that society told us to acquire. We had regular 9 to 5 jobs at an ad agency. The alarm goes off, we get up, go to work, go home, eat a little something, reset the alarm clock, and go to sleep. Repeat forever. Next thing you know it's fifty years later and you wonder where it all went. Sound familiar? That's when we decided to break away and leave it all behind. We've sold it all -- the car, the TV. We've bought an RV, hitting the road, making everyday different. ~~ Read more of Jessica's story on the website.
