If you want to move every couple of days, it lets you do that. If you want to have a workamper job to cover your RV site, you can do it during your off hours. Besides selling, someone assembles wreaths, makes deliveries, and gives farm tours. Holiday tree farms and retailers need workers. Laura Bilger of the National Christmas Tree Association tells me one of the biggest problems in their industry is finding temporary laborers. = = = = = Your Working While RVing Questions Answered Why Employers Don't Respond ~~ Raymond asks: I emailed a resort about a job and haven't had any response. Can you find out why? ~~ I answered in part: When you don't get a reply it usually means one of three things: 1. They didn't get your email. You might try calling or contacting them again. 2. They have been busy and haven't gotten to it. Accepting a short-term, temporary job, even if you don't particularly like it, may help you get the job you actually want. = = = = = New Favorite Work Camper Campground Nominee Columbus KOA ~~ By Sue Lawrence Dear hubby and I have been workampers at Columbus KOA in Columbus, TX for the past year. It is a great park. We just don't want to leave! Hubby and I work together two days on and six days off for FHU, laundry, propane, and store discounts, plus other perks here and there. No $$, but hey, there are plenty of hours in six days if one wanted an extra part time paying job. Read more about this on the website.
