Update from Your RV Workers On Wheels Newsletter Editor

Happy Independence Day! We hope that you are enjoying this glorious Fourth of July Weekend.

What more appropriate holiday is there for RVers? Many of us choose full-time RVing because of the sense of freedom it gives us. Weekend campers go RVing to escape the confines of regular routine.

We thank both active and retired military for the work you've done for our independence.

Wherever you are in your work and travels, we wish you joy and prosperity,

Your Working While RVing Questions Answered

Finding Enjoyable

~~ Gayle asks: What would be the best way to apply for employment that I would enjoy?

I am looking for a workkamping position. I am very interested in history.

~~ I answered in part: Frame your interests and what you enjoy as assets. When writing your ad and resume, don't just list what you want and enjoy. Instead, show prospective employers how those interests would benefit them.

For instance, you might suggest that your interest in history would make you an ideal candidate for a park's interpretive program. You might point out that while you are willing to do whatever needs doing, you would have a special enthusiasm for giving tours and sharing the park's history with its guests.

Do a bit of research to get an idea of which campgrounds have a rich history that is particularly interesting to you.

We started this site after corresponding with thousands of RVers, sharing what we’ve learned from our personal experience as full-time RVers, as well as what we've gleaned from employers and managers who hire and work with work campers and other RV workers.

We do hope we've been instrumental in helping you find the right work situation for your RV lifestyle.

We believe there are many advantages to having an RV home based business that we can take on the road with us. We've found a Watkins Summit Group business works for us.

We are also thankful for SBI!, the "do-all-the-techy-stuff-for-you" e-business building platform that made creating this RV resource site possible.
