It's brag time. I received a letter this week from Watkins Incorporated's President, Mark Jacobs, congratulating me on our success with Watkins. I received the 4th Place Manager Award for 2008. To say that I am pleased with this accomplishment is a bit of an understatement.

Current Job Openings for RVers

Now is apparently the time to be looking for spring and summer 2009 jobs! About 20 campgrounds and RV parks have emailed letting us know about open positions within the past few days. Quite a few of them need workers immediately or starting sometime this month.

Here's a sampling of the most recently listed job openings.

~ RV Park in WA Needs Asst. Manager: Pay, RV Site, Bonus

If you can't negotiate higher wages with an employer, you might ask for one or more other benefits, such as these:

~ Meals and beverages
~ Ice or freezer space
~ College classes
~ Rafting, kayaking, or flight-seeing trips
~ Use of laundry facilities
~ Use of company car
~ Propane
~ Passes to community attractions and events
~ Guided tours and excursions

If you are looking for a house-sitting or caretaking position, check with Realtors and rental management companies in the area where you want to spend some time. They may be able to give you some leads.
